Essendon have started 2011 very well and are definitely heading in the right direction. They have the wood on St.Kilda winning the last 3. Essendons pace and spread seems to worry the slower moving Saints and they just seem to match up well against them. This match will be St.Kildas Captain and Champion Nick Riewoldts 200th! this club has lost one of its stars in Lenny Hayes and have been belted all week by the media, everyone is writing the Saints off for 2011. Something tells me this team will come out breathing fire! they have their backs against the wall and will lift for their skipper! Ross Lyon would have gone through every facet of the Bombers game plan and will have a plan in place. I expect them to give it everything in the opener. The Saints have won their first quarters in both games this year and then have struggled. Not sure they get the points at the end of the game to me its a toss of the coin, but I do know they take the advantage into the break after the first change. StKilda lead this one @ quarter time.

ReplyDeleteSaint very disappointing here today trailed at the 1st by 2-3 goals and it only got worse. They have the bye next week and they will need to regroup and make some changes. While Essendon looks the goods at the early stages of the season
