DOUBLE - KNICKS +12.5 / LAKERS ML (x1.5)
PLAYER POINTS - KOBE BRYANT -25.5 (x1)
As we get closer to the playoffs you have to wonder what kind of effort will be put in from some teams. This can be a dangerous time to be betting, but it can also offer plenty of value if you choose you sides carefully. Tonight I see the Lakers in a must win situation. The 2nd seed is their if they want it. Dallas are currently 1/2 a game in front but have just one game to play. So if the Lakers want it and I'm certain they do they must win tonight! Then take care af the Kings tomorrow. The Spurs have nothing to gain by winning tonight, they have the top seed in the west locked up and by their own admission "this game means more to them than us" the Bookies have adjusted with the line out to -7. You would have to think the Spurs starters will be rested more than usuall tonight. Lakers to win this one as the 1st half of my double. I am playing on Kobe to score over 25 in this game also tonight. He was in good touch for mist of the game against the Thunder Scoring 31 but just couldn't finish the game. As this game is huge for the Lakers I expect Kobe to lift again and take it opon himself a lot more offensively tonight. Expect 30+ again from the number 24!
The second leg of this double I'm taking the Knicks with extra points. As with the previous game. Chicago has the top seed locked. They are playing great basketball and this one isn't that important to them. You would have to think their starters must get a rest as they are about to enter their biggest playoff assult since the great MJ days. This is the 3rd game on the road also. New York also have the 6th seed locked and will possibly be without Amare again but are in awesome form winning 7 in a row! Their confidence is back and will want to put in a good effort in front of their home fans! They may have a slight look ahead to Boston tomorrow. But with the Bulls likely to take the foot off the pedal and rest players I like the 12.5+ in this one.
