SUNS TO CATCH THE BLUES OFF GUARD EARLY
Gold Coast play their first ever AFL match tonight against Carlton @ the Gabba. While it would have been nice to open their campaign @ their own home stadium this is close enough. Their are so many unknowns about this newly formed club and Carlton will be going in a little blind and wont have done their usual prep and study on this opponent. One thing that is known is if the Suns are ever going to be up and about its going to be for the first 20min of this one! You can expect their experienced players Ablett, Brown, Rischitelli, Bock, Fraser, Brennan, Harbrow and Harris to be out to make a statement. They will be fierce at ever contest and out to prove this club is no easy beats! While I do expect the Blues to come away with the win I think they will get quite a scare!
The Blues were rusty in their opener against the Tigers last week kicking 2-8. While you can excuse this being round one they were relatively slow starters in 2010 and better finishers. I see value in the Suns to be in front after the 1st quarter @ 3.35.

ReplyDeleteThe Suns were dealt a lesson here in their first match. Really rusty and have plenty of work to do
