Welcome all..... I live in Australia and have been punting on Sports for the past 6 years. Looking forward to another sucessful year in 2013...... I enjoyed another sucessful Campaign in 2012 which was my 2nd year posting here. Detailed results can be seen below.

I bet on the AFL , NRL as well as US Basketball, the NBA & NCAA CBB. Here I will post my plays as a record with regular write ups. It is most important that you create a Twitter account and follow me @baywatchbets as all my plays are posted there first then followed up with a detailed post here. Be sure to follow twitter below!!!

FOLLOW TWITTER

I play on ML, ATS, Quarters, Halves, Doubles and occasionally on Player Exotics. My goal is to hit close to 60%. However 53% will give a nice profit.

I bet in units. Though out the seasons I will play x1 unit, x1.5 units, x2 units and on occasions huge x3, x4 & even x5 unit plays! On average x1 unit should be 3.5% of your bankroll so adjust accordingly. This is very important as we are investing not gambling!

So for example your x1 unit may be to win $100, so I bet $110 @ odds of 1.91. Betting at these odds your unit outlay would be:

x1 unit play - $110 to win $100

x1.5 unit play - $165 to win $150

x2 unit play - $220 to win $200 etc.

I adjust the amount I bet according to the odds taken. for example playing x1 unit @ odds of 1.85 I then have to up my bet to $115 to win $100 and so on.

Patience and Bankroll management is the key.

Good luck all and enjoy the ride....

1ST Q - LIONS (x1.5)

Richmond has not won a 1st Q this year! While Brisbane have a 2-2 split. Richmond are coming off a close come from behind win against the Roos on Sunday night. They may come out a little flat once again. A mini let down is a huge chance with this young group. Brisbane put up a good fight against the Saints last Thursday night so they will have a few extra day rest. Brisbane have a tall forward line with Leuenberger and Clark. This will stretch the Tigers as they back half lacks any real size. Brisbanes spine of Merrett, McGuire, Black, Clark and Leuenbeger looks pretty good. I think the Lions are a good chance here tonight. Lions to lead after the 1st.

DOUBLE - STORM ML / SEA EAGLES +12.5 (x2)

As stated in my Storm play they will bounce back tonight!

The Sea Eagles have flown under the guard a little. They are playing some great football at the moment. The new halves combo of Cherry-Evans and Foran is working well. Look for those two to lead Manly for many years to come. Add to them Hopa, Buerea, Robinson etc. The future looks bright with the usual suspects Watmough, Stewart, ballin I think they are a really good chance up there in Townsville tonight. The Cowboys have been better than expected and will be keen to keep winning especially @ Home. JT is in career best form. This one will be a cracker. Taking the Sea Eagles with 12.5 start is a gift.

ATS - STORM -6 (x1.5)(buying 1/2 point)

Melbourne lost their first game for the year @ home last week against the Warriors and made an unusually large amount of turnovers. I do not expect that type of performance to happen two games in a row. Not with this proud group! They are fortunate that they get the opportunity to turn that around with another home game this week against the Knights. While Newcastle have been ok, they do put in a gutsy effort in most games. A few will be on display for a Blues call up also. But Newcastle have a terrible record in Melbourne. I expect the Storm to bounce back and win this one comfortably.

ATS - TITANS -1.5 (x2)

Believe it or not there is a lot to like about the Titans in this one. They will feel a lot more comfortable playing @ Skilled Park against the Roosters. The Team that knocked them out of the finals last year. Revenge may be on their minds. They get the little mystro Preston back which will be a huge lift for all. It is also Nathan Friends 100 match for the Titans, the first player to do so. They will be bitterly disappointed about letting last weeks game slip in the dying stages and will be out to get back on the winners list here.

The Roosters are a shadow of the side that dominated last season. Carney has been banished and they just look lost. While the did put up a good effort last week against the Dragons I feel a let down hers with a short turnaround and traveling. Scotty Prince will be out to put a good performance also, after he was snubbed by the Maroons yet again. Titans to do enough to win and cover here

ATS - MAGIC -1.5 (x1.5)

Although Atlanta has had the better of Orlando in the regular season and at least broke even in this series, Orlando are the better side IMO. The fact that Howard made just one FG and had limited impact last game, the way Orlando dominated from start to finish was impressive! They had a much more even spread and were much more potent. They have their 3 point shooters back healthy and in good touch and this is critical to their success. While the Hawks have been ok, I don't see them stopping Orlando tonight. Magic just giving up a bucket is good value here.

SWANS WILL BE TOO STRONG @ HOME

The Swans are up against the Blues tonight @ home. They have been freshened up after having the bye last week and have a very good record against Carlton. Especially here @ the SCG. The blues have not won here since 1993! Carlton just scraped over the line last week against the crows in Melbourne in a less than convincing fashion. I think the Swans are playing great team footy! each player knows his role and they are very disciplined. The limited ground space of the SCG will worry the blues who rely heavily on they outside runners. This ground suits the Swans with Mumford a classic down and dirty ruckman. He will have plenty of followers in Bolton, Jack, Kennedy, McVeigh and the game breaker Goodes! Swans will be too good and win a low scoring battle!

Both these sides are coming off the bye so should be fresh and ready to go. West Coast has been some what of a surprise packet in the early stages of the season winning 2 and being very competitive in the other games, most noticeably last week against the Hawks in Tassie. They get a huge boost with LeCra back a lot earlier than expected. All of a sudden their forward line looks very dangerous with Lynch, Kennedy, LeCra and both Natinui and Cox spending time in their. I think the Big men of the West Coast will be to much to handle for Melbourne tonight. Glass is looking to be back to his best down back. Melbourne hasnt won here since 2004! They are not good on the road. Eagles to win a close one by under 4 goals.

These two teams have been disappointing so far this season with both sitting on just 2 wins. But in saying that I do like the direction in which the Titans are heading in comparison to Parramatta. The Titans put in a gutsy come from behind win against the Tigers last start and that might just be the win they needed to get their season off! Scotty Prince has looked injured in the opening month but he put in a solid performance against his former teammate and guided his team well around the park. You have to remember they are only now getting their pack out on the track, while they are still missing Lafranchi, they have the likes of Friend, Bailey, Minno, Harrison, White and O'Dwyer of the Bench. Things are on the improve for the Titans. While the Eels season is going from bad to worse with their star Jarryd Hayne on the sidelines. This has force a reshuffle in positions and with news around that the Eels are getting the chequebook out for some big signings it's obvious no one is happy right at the minute with the team they are putting out there. Titans with to much grunt in the forward pack and the experienced Prince will lead the way to a Titans win tonight.

Rolling with the Thunder once again today, they showed their class in game two by beating up on Denver taking that game easily after a hard fought match in game one. While this one is in Denver and the Nuggets have their backs against the wall being 0-2 at this point I just don't see them having enough firepower to match it with Okie's big guns! Like I have stated previously, I really like the look of this team and feel they will be right amongst it come Finals! The inclusion of Perkins in particular is the perfect piece. It has shifted this team from being a good solid team with some stars on the rise to a contender right now! This one I suspect will be close as Denver were embarrassed and will give it everything but I like the points on offer. Thunder with the start for me.

Although the score would suggest otherwise, the Bunnies were super impressive against the Dragons last start. They seem to be getting a lot more consistent. The fact that this group has now played 2 months together and is gaining confidence. Burgess is looking better as is Luke, Inglis and Crocker. The Bunnies will have to much fire power for the Dogs who have been brought back to earth after jumping out of the blocks at the start of the season. I actually see Souths winning this one but have taken the security of over a converted try start.

ATS - CROWS +25.5 (x1)

Carlton got away with a draw last week against the Bombers, but if you watched the first quarter the signs were ominous for the Blues with Essendon looking far the better. All this changed when Essendon lost 2 of it's best runners to serious knee injuries and were down to just two on the bench for the rest of the game. Carlton should have won with this huge advantage. Adelaide have been woefull since round one. Last week was a discrace! I can't work out why exactly? They have been struck by injuries but either way I expect a much better showing tonight against the Blues. They have a good record against Carlton winning their last 4. I think the Crows may pinch this one but happy to take the 4 goal start.

ATS - SUNS +64.5 (x1.5)

Are the Suns improving? I believe so, and I expect a big improvement today against the Power. This is a team along with perhaps Richmond where they won't feel so far out of their depth as Port don't have the Bigger bodies as most teams do. They have Cornes and Westoff up forward and a lot of middle to smaller sized midfeilders. Gold Coast will feel they can at least break even in this department. They also regain Gary Ablett who has been under fire all week for his extended stay in Melbourne and missing last week with a calf strain. Expect him to answer his critics they best way possible, on the field. With Kain Cornes still out of the Power line up he will run free and create huge problems for Primus. Can the Suns win? I actually think they are a chance. But very happy to bet on this being their best performance to date and stay within 10 goals of Port today. Added Suns to win the first quarter, just a gut feel.

Liking both these teams to come away with the win in game 3 tonight. New York enters this game 0-2 but have played the Celtics extremely tough and could have easily been 2-0. Game one Amare was a beast and dominated with Melo Restricted with early fouls. Game two saw Melo explode and almost carry this team across the line with Amare back in the rooms with back issues and Billups watching from the sidelines. Tonight Billups is still out but word is Amare won't miss this one. It will be New Yorks first home Playoff game in quite sometime! MSG will be electric! And with both Melo and Amare on the floor together for this one I see them getting that victory they desperately need.

LA were caught off guard in game one as CP3 exploded and handed them a loss straight up in front of their home crowd! As all quality teams do the Lakers responded well in game two, the made adjustments and it paid off. The most noticeable was Bryant guarding Paul. Brilliant! You hold CP3 influence you hold the Hornets. I expect much the same tonight. Bynum, Gasol and Odom are the keys. If they can dominate and cause Okafor trouble the game is theirs. LA will not want to fall behind again in this series. They will win game 3.

I'm on the saints to bounce back and make a stand tonight at the Gabba! They have been hammered for the past 2 weeks and rightly so but after the bye and a good rest I see them coming out strong and focused tonight. You could say that Brisbane has come around at the right time for the struggling Saints. Brisbane were always going to struggle in 2011 and with Brown going down as well as Drummond and Staker still out of this already inexperienced line up 2011 got even tougher! ST.Kilda has brought in Kosi, Baker and McQualter, all seasoned campaigners who have mature bodies to go up against the Brisbane Cubs.

The key inclusion here is Kosi! I see McEvoy controlling the Ruck for majority of the game which means Kosi will play out of the goal square, Merrett looks the likely Match up. Now who runs with Riewoldt? Theres your mismatch. Roo will have a night out. In fact I'm tipping all of Riewoldt, Goddard and Montagna to regain form and get the first win of the season for the Saints!

Rolling with Atlanta again here in game two. Much the same as in game one they just seem to have Orlando's measure! They seem to love playing them and match up very well! They have size which seems to bother them with Horford and Collins starting this moves Smith to the 3 spot and Johnson @ 2 stretches them for pure size. Atlanta has scoring threats everywhere and as shown in Game one even a massive game from Dwight was unable to get the Magic the win. Make no mistake they will be out for revenge here tonight and I expect them to try a spread the scoring load but I still feel with Atlanta's confidence and on the back of last games win will be right in this one again! 9.5pts is to much tonight. Hawks may even win again.

DOUBLE - KNICKS +10.5 / BLAZERS +10.5 (x1.5)

Revenge for both these teams!

I see real value in all 3 dogs in today's card. Firstly New York will be without Billups but Douglas has proven he is up to task and I don't think that means they get blown out tonight. New York will be out for revenge after letting game one slip. Stoudamire is proving a concern as is Melo and the outside shooting of the Knicks is also bothering Boston. The Celtics won't have it all their own way in this series as the Knicks will be desperate for some playoff success. Knicks to keep this one close again.

Portland should have won game one. They were the better side. What is a concern for Dallas is that Roy had a bad night offensively. I would expect that two games in a row. Aldridge is a huge concern for Dallas as he is dominating on both ends. Blazers also on revenge will keep this one tight also.

Chicago were scored against a lot more than they would have liked in game one with the Pacers shooting above 50% form the 3pt arc and very well in the first 3 quarters. Expect a lift in that department from the Bulls. Indiana also will focus on trying to stop Rose, thus extra pressure may force others to create shots and lower their %. either way I see a lift from both teams and a hard fought out defensive battle. Really liking the look of the Thunder going into this seasons playoffs. The acquisition of Perkins and Nazr is exactly what this team was lacking, a presence in the middle. They have a excellent all round team now with genuine stars in Westbrook and Durant at point and small forward. Rising stars in Harden and in particular Ibaka at shooting guard and power forward and as I mentioned already a big presence in Perkins at Centre. Great back ups off the bench, the sky is the limit for this team on the rise. They beat the Nuggets in their last two meetings easily. Denver have their injury concerns. Slater is in career best form and that's saying something. He along with Cronk and Slater have guided this team beautifully! it has also been the likes of Proctor, Widdop, Champion, Blair, Duffie who have taken that next step and all lifted their games this season. They travel to Sydney to take on the Panthers today in what I believe they will see as their biggest test this season. Winning o. The road! The one away game this season for the Storm was a disaster up in Townsville. And I reckon Bellamy would have made that very clear on the track this week. They won't be getting ahead of themselves and with the Fab 3 in good touch they will lead this team to a good win! Liking both Wayne Bennetts teams here today :)

The Knights will be upbeat with the news that Wayne is on his way and I expect plenty of the players to be galvanized and out to prove to this club that they want to be apart of it. With this news the Knights will want to cap off such a huge week with a win against the Sharks in front of their hame fans. The Knights didn't play well last week in Brisbane and Mullen had a rare off game. Expect him to be on today and the Sharks backs can expect plenty of pressure from his kicking game. The Sharks have played a lot better so far this season but New Castle @ home with the crowed right behind them is a tough ask for any team. Knights take the points here.

Next up I'm liking the Dragons to do enough to get over the line against an unpredictable Souths outfit. You just never quite know which RABBITOHS team will turn up. They can be either extremely good or very very bad! They lack consistency. That's one thing this well drilled champion team does not! Rolling with Atlanta here tonight in Orlando in game 1. The Hawks ended the regular season terribly! Kissing 6 straight. But their position was never in doubt and had nothing to gain either so I'm not taking to much notice of that. What is interesting is in the four matches these two teams played this season, the Hawks won 3-1 SU as dogs and covered in all 4! They seem to match up well. With Collins now starting centre he will just be there to try an eliminate Howards presence and I expect Horford to be giving plenty of help. They will be out to frustrate the Big man and get him off his game. Atlanta has plenty of depth and points can come from many angles. This seems to worry Orlando. While I'm not sure Atlanta will win this one SU, they will be right in it! And 8.5pts is far to many for this one. Small play on the Hawks tonight.

They will welcome back some experience in Mackie, Wojcinski and Lonegan. This team is purring! They travel for the second time this year to Sydney to take on the Swans @ the SCG. Geelong has won it's past 8 matches against Sydney! That stat speaks for itself. Amoungst that were some big wins @ home and few tight ones in Sydney. I just feel Geelong has the wood on them. Sydney has started this year in fine fashion also. A draw against the Dees, and 2 close hard fought wins against the bombers and the Eagles. But it's the last that concerns me. The travel factor returning from playing in Perth in a game where they were forced to fight right till the end. Essendon are up and about at the moment. They are full of confidence and are playing with a new lease on life. James Hird and the new coaching staff have done very well with this young group so far. But make no mistake Hird and Thompson will not be getting ahead of themselves. Carlton is a big scalp they want. Traditional rivals will pack out the MCG for what should be a beauty!

For me though although Carlton were respectable last week against the Magpies I still feel they are a key back and a genuine key forward short. I think both midfields match up pretty well but it's these key posts that will see the Blues come unstuck. Fletcher and Ryder or Hurley at either ends will provide that class in the key posts to give the Bombers the edge and the win. Essendon by about 15pts.

DOUBLE: TIGERS +12.5 / SEA EAGLES ML (x1.5)

First leg of this double starts tonight with the Tigers traveling up to the Gold Coast. The Titans have been terrible so far this season and you get the feeling a win is not to far away. They have to much talent to be just 1-4. But with still so many injuries I'm not confident just yet. The Tigers have their worries also with a number of players missing. This one will be close either way so happy to be on an inform Benji Marshalls side with plenty of points start.

The second leg in rolling with the Sea Eagles to get the points against the Warriors at Brookie! Manly get a boost with Watmough back and are in good touch winning 3 it's last 4. Very rarely lose here. The Warriors have travelled just once so far this year, and dont trust them on the road just yet. they also have their injury concerns. Manly will be to good @ home and get the points.

Collingwood to put last weeks average win behind them and take revenge out on the poor Tigers. Richmond have brought in a couple of bigger bodies in Miller and Thursfield, but they will be no match for the powerhouse at the MCG tonight. Dawes and Cloke will give Richmonds inexperienced Backman serous headaches. Magpies midfield will be to strong, to quick, to good. Richmond will do well to keep this one under 10 goals here tonight. Tough night ahead for Richmond.

NBA FINAL DAY

With plenty of teams playing with no motivation and resting their starters their are a few I like today. Have them all together in this post.

ML- BOBCATS (x1)

With Atlanta having locked up the 5th seed and with their minds well and truly on their first round match up with Orlando expect Charlotte to get the win here. Atlanta will be resting it's players and with a potential clean out for the Bobcats come seasons end this will be motivation enough for some younger and older players to show MJ they deserve to stay on the roster. Bobcats win @ home

(1.2u @ 1.83 @ Sportsbet)

ATS - WARRIORS -3.5 (x1)

Same here again, Portland have locked up the 6th seed after a big win last night against the Grizzles. They are on B2B so Expect all their starters to rest up plenty tonight as they look to the playoffs. The Warriors have plenty of points in them and against the Blazers second unit I expect them to win and cover tonight.

(1.1u @ 1.91 @ Sportsbet)

ATS - CLIPPERS -7.5 (x1)

As above. The Grizzles are on B2B and have the playoffs in mind. One further angle here is they will be looking to tank this one and avoid the Lakers in the first round. Clippers to put on a good show for their last game of the year in front of their home fans. Should win well!

(1.1u @ 1.91 @ Sportingbet)

ATS - LAKERS -3 (x1.5)

This is one of the few games that actually matter tonight. LA is in a must win situation. To guarantee the 2nd seed the LAKERS must carry over the energy from winning last night and put away the Kings on the road. Sacramento will be up for this one so the Lakers need to be on their game. But this situation will bring the Lakers together and Kobe will rise here and blow the Kings away to put his team in the best possible spot to win the Championship! The true Lakers will show up tonight and deal with the kings! Lakers win well!

DOUBLE - KNICKS +12.5 / LAKERS ML (x1.5)
PLAYER POINTS - KOBE BRYANT -25.5 (x1)

As we get closer to the playoffs you have to wonder what kind of effort will be put in from some teams. This can be a dangerous time to be betting, but it can also offer plenty of value if you choose you sides carefully. Tonight I see the Lakers in a must win situation. The 2nd seed is their if they want it. Dallas are currently 1/2 a game in front but have just one game to play. So if the Lakers want it and I'm certain they do they must win tonight! Then take care af the Kings tomorrow. The Spurs have nothing to gain by winning tonight, they have the top seed in the west locked up and by their own admission "this game means more to them than us" the Bookies have adjusted with the line out to -7. You would have to think the Spurs starters will be rested more than usuall tonight. Lakers to win this one as the 1st half of my double. I am playing on Kobe to score over 25 in this game also tonight. He was in good touch for mist of the game against the Thunder Scoring 31 but just couldn't finish the game. As this game is huge for the Lakers I expect Kobe to lift again and take it opon himself a lot more offensively tonight. Expect 30+ again from the number 24!

The second leg of this double I'm taking the Knicks with extra points. As with the previous game. Chicago has the top seed locked. They are playing great basketball and this one isn't that important to them. You would have to think their starters must get a rest as they are about to enter their biggest playoff assult since the great MJ days. This is the 3rd game on the road also. New York also have the 6th seed locked and will possibly be without Amare again but are in awesome form winning 7 in a row! Their confidence is back and will want to put in a good effort in front of their home fans! They may have a slight look ahead to Boston tomorrow. But with the Bulls likely to take the foot off the pedal and rest players I like the 12.5+ in this one.

The MAVS cannot believe their luck, who would have thought that the Lakers would drop 5 in a row after the form they showed when the took the 2nd seed from Dallas. Know the MAVS can get it back! They will be motivated for this one and the Rockets have nothing to play for. Adding to this Houston will be without Lowry and Scola is doubtful. I expect a focused Dallas team here to take this one Comfortably and get that 2nd seed back!

Miami are coming off a huge win and have the 2nd seed in the east as we speak. However they just have their noses in front. Expect them to carry momentum over here and start well in this one. Atlanta's position cannot change and after the effort they put in last start against the Wizards they are just waiting for the playoffs. Smith may return but his game time will be limited and I suspect Collins will sit again. The Heat will be to good for this struggling Hawks team and lead well at the Half.

ATS - KNIGHTS +2.5 (x1)

The Knights have been Brisbanes somewhat bogie team having won the last 3. Brisbane have won their last 3 but seem to be continually reshuffling their team. This week is no different and adding to this their vise captain Parker has spent the last few days in hospital so you have to wonder how he will go. Newcastle seem to be getting back to full health with Gidley back last week, he will be better again. Mullen is in red hot form and the excitement machines Uate and Naiqama will be to much to handle here tonight. I think the knights will get back on the winners list here but happy to grab the points as they will be like gold in the wet.

The Lakers have lost 4 in a row. I don't think the believed they were ever a real chance of pinching the top seed in the West, hense the lack of effort. But I also don't think this team ever really thought they could lose the 2nd seed and a possible slip to 4th should all things Continue to go pear shaped. Make no mistake they realize they need to step up a preform NOW! Phil Jackson has stated they haven't played hard enough and these kind of performances are just not acceptable. I expect the Lakers to come out firing straight up tonight. They will get more out of Bynum who will be much better second game back. Kobe always relishes against the best, and they don't get much better than K.Durant and this up and coming challenger in the Thunder! This one should be a cracker but I expect the cream to rise to the top! LAKERS @ home to start well and take this game SU tonight.

They need to find some form heading into the playoffs. Their coach publicly stated his team needs to lift and start playing with more energy. I expect them to start this one well. They are still missing J.Smith and also Collins but I believe still have enough talent to take care of the Wizards who are also on B2B after receiving a moarling at the hands of the Celtics on the road last night. The lines look pretty sharp here, well not really but I got burnt with the Dragons failing to cover last start and I feel this team gets an early lead then defends it till the 80th minute. I expect them to win against the Dogs Sunday arvo but I also expect Canterbury to fight hard after last weeks disappointing game against the Storm. St.George have every line covered in this one, they are a true professional team and will keep winning here.

As stated in the previous play I do like Melbourne @ home and was very tempted to take the line outright. However I have gone 1st half their so happy to have this as my second leg with the Dragons. Melbourne playing to well and should put the Eels away easily!

The Eels did manage to get a win last week @ home against the Cowboys but they really didn't impress. Melbourne have all the fire power to put this one away early and that's exactly the way I'm going. Para have a late injury scare with Hindi hurting his hand, keep an eye out for this. But Melbourne will be far to strong @ home and I expect a double digit lead @ the Half!

Trend easy in the NBA from now on into the playoffs. Motivation will be hard to find. I like both these two teams to want to keep winning. NY got an impressive road win last start and has now won 5 in a row. They need to build confidence leading into the playoffs. They come up against the Nets who's season was done a while ago. They are banged up with injuries and I see no reason for them to really put in effort tonight.

The Hornets need to win as they are in a fight with the Blazers for the 6th seed and avoiding the Lakers in the first round. They will be up for this one. They are well rested and fresh having been @ home for over a week. The take on the Suns who are gone from any hopes of playoffs. They are playing their 4th straight road game and will be keen for the season to end. Hornets get the win! I have stuck safe with both ML as that's all these teams need.

Essendon have started 2011 very well and are definitely heading in the right direction. They have the wood on St.Kilda winning the last 3. Essendons pace and spread seems to worry the slower moving Saints and they just seem to match up well against them. This match will be St.Kildas Captain and Champion Nick Riewoldts 200th! this club has lost one of its stars in Lenny Hayes and have been belted all week by the media, everyone is writing the Saints off for 2011. Something tells me this team will come out breathing fire! they have their backs against the wall and will lift for their skipper! Ross Lyon would have gone through every facet of the Bombers game plan and will have a plan in place. I expect them to give it everything in the opener. The Saints have won their first quarters in both games this year and then have struggled. Not sure they get the points at the end of the game to me its a toss of the coin, but I do know they take the advantage into the break after the first change. StKilda lead this one @ quarter time.

HAWKS ARE BACK!!!

Hawthorn's form in the second half of last weeks match against the Demons sent a strong message out to the rest of the competition, The Hawks are BACK! they were awesome! absolutely demoralising Melbourne. The amount of confidence this group would have gotten from that performance would be through the rough! their were so many positives to be highlighted, Franklin still getting plenty of it, Burgoyne back to his best, Hodge will be better for the run, their kids Savage, Sheils and Suckling to their games to the next level, Stratton is looking better down back, and Cyril well ...... He is in a class of his own. He won't be there this week though but they still have far to much talent for the young Tigers to match.

Richmond come into this game of an emotional draining battle with the Saints that ended in a draw. Riewoldt will play but time will tell if there are any ill effects from his concussion. McGuane will miss due to suspension and this is what really hurts the Tigers. The now have to turn to Astbury and Grimes to tackle Buddy and Roughhead..... Good luck! Tigers were good last week but will be out of their depth here against a genuine Challenger. Hawks win this one well. 38pts

BURGESS IS BACK!

The Bunnies are on a roll, winning their last two, now to make it 3! They are up against the Tigers who are still without a number of players and are struggling to hold teams defensively right now. The Tigers are on a short turnaround here having played last Sunday afternoon in a tough battle with the Roosters. They do get a boost with Ellis being named in the side but I still feel they are missing to many. Souths also receive a bonus with the inclusion of Burgess! This is a huge inclusion as the whole team stands a little taller with this wrecking ball on the paddock! The Bunnies play their 3rd Friday night game in a row and in fact it will be their 4th out of the first 5 rounds. So it's fair to say they are quite familiar with this scheduling spot. The team seems to be coming together nicely, Inglis is a lot more comfortable, Crocker and Ross are both fit and offering plenty and the halves in Sandow and Sutton look more comfortable in running this side.

Rabbitohs get the points in this one against an injury hit and fatigued Tigers side for me with Burgess setting the foundation and GI finishing! Souths by 8!

Liking the Hornets here tonight with the motivation to move into the 6th seed and take on Dallas rather than stay in the 7th seed and face the Lakers. They are also well rested having been @ home for almost a week now. Houstons charge for the Playoffs is all but over having dropped last nights match to the Kings @ home. This loss would have been deflating! Their confidence is all but shot. Adding to this they now have to travel to New Orleans on B2B and will be playing their 3rd game in 4 days. Fatigue spot for the Rockets here. New Orleans are without West but they seemed to have adjusted. They are also on a bit of revenge here as they lost their last match here @ home to Houston in late Feb. Hornets with a few angles are better placed to get the points @ home.

New York are on a roll winning their last 4 @ home and are in good touch. These two teams are both eyeing off the 6th seed in the East. The Knicks have publicly said they are after it! There is no love lost between these side either. Amare has stated "We owe them one" and I believe him. New York won the last clash @ home easily after going down narrowly by 2 in their previous game on the road. Mind you both these games were before the Knicks acquired Melo and Billups. Are they a better team now? I'd say yes but are a work in progress, but they are clicking right now.

Philly have dropped their last couple on the road, and lost badly last night in Boston. You have to wonder if finishing 6th or 7th really matters to them? And should it? Both teams are on B2B games here but I just feel the Knicks are in a better mind set and really want to continue their winning ways and it important they start winning on the road before they enter the playoffs. Knicks get the job done in Philly!

The Clippers would have gained enormous confidence in their win over the Thunder last game. They take to the road now to take on one of the inform sides right now in Memphis. The Grizzles are 3 games clear of Houston and look fairly save in their bid for a playoff spot. LA are not even close. The Clips will be out for some revenge here though after losing both match ups this season. In their most recent they were without Gordon and Griffin put in his worst performance of the year! Expect him to carry over his recent form an outstanding double double game against the Thunder here tonight. Gordon will give the clips that extra scorer they lacked last time also. MAGPIES TO UNVEIL FLAG IN STYLE
It's fair to say I was a little surprised at this line when I first saw it. I had this game at about -34 / -36. I don't know whether Carlton have been given a little to much credit after two wins. But remember these were against Richmond round one which they came from behind to win and last weeks demolition of the Suns. How much can you really take from that game. Collingwood meanwhile have had lttle trouble in their first two matches taking care of both Port and Nth easily. The Magpies will get their skipper back for this one and will play their first game @ the MCG. They are also unveiling their premiership flag.

In the last few encounters between these two sides Collingwood has had little trouble winning the last 3 by plenty. Carlton will get Jamison back from suspension and may also get Bower back from injury. This is a huge plus as their back half will be under extreme pressure this week. While this will help I still don't feel it will have any bearing on the result. Carltons back half looks very inexperienced with Watson (2nd game), Duigan (3rd game) and Laider (3rd game for Blues) all having to contain the collingwood forward line. Collingwood if you can believe have actually gotten stronger! The addition of Tarrant has come at perfect timing with Brown out for the year so they lose nothing their. Then they add wildcard Krakouer to their squad. He add that touch of class around goal and up the ground. After a well published break from the game he looks hungry and looking to make the most of his second chance.

Collingwood quite simply have to much firepower and talent across the board for Carlton to match. The Blues are returning from Brisbane and are up against it here. It's always tough for teams returning from games on the road and I really don't think Carlton has what it takes to match it will to top teams in the league just yet and they don't come any better than Collingwood. The Blues will receive a reality check here and taste their first loss. As the Magpies are exceptional starters and with the line being a lot lower than I expected I may also add a 1st Half bet closer to kick off. But very happy to take the -22.5 point with Collingwood as my biggest bet of the season thus far. Magpies win this one well, 40+!

STORM TO BOUNCE BACK @ HOME

Melbourne were dealt a lesson last week against the Cowboys. It was just a reminder that it is tough to play interstate no matter how good you were the week before. Bellamy would have punished his team through the week. Clearly that performance was just not good enough. Lucky for the Storm the have a chance to redeem themselves at home and complete round 4 with a positive win/loss record of 3-1. The come up against the undefeated Bulldogs who may have surprised a little with their start. This will be the first time this young group has to travel and as Melbourne found out it is tough! Canterbury has not won in Melbourne since 2005!

The Storm always lift @ home and tonight will be no different, in fact they will be hungrier than usual. Expect the experienced heads of Smith, Cronk and Slater to lead from the front. In games were Melbourne take a lead into the Half they generally go on with it. They are very much a confident team. DOUBLE - BOMBERS +24.5 / HAWKS ML (x2)

Taking a double here in today's games. Really liked the look of the Bombers so far in 2011! James Hird has got them hungry and more important confident. They are backing themselves and taking the game on. Their forward set up is outstanding! This will be the test though. Essendon have been terrible on the road in the past and I'm sure James would have addressed this. What I do like though is this game is being played @ ANZ Stadium. This is a very wide ground with plenty of space on the flanks compared to the smaller SCG which will suit Essendons game perfectly.

Sydney couldn't get the win week against Melbourne with the game ending in a draw. They seemed to me to be the better side and did lead for much of the day but just could put the Demons away. I think this young Bombers outfit will take it right ip to the swans and may just pinch the win. Happy to take a 4 goal start here.

The second leg of my double will be on the Hawks how take on the othe team involved in last weeks draw, Melbourne. The Hawks had their chances last week in Adelaide and really should have put the crows away! Franklin kicked 2 goals 6..... I don't expect that to happen two games in a row. The demons do welcome back Frawley and that is significant as he will be Buddy's most likely match up. This is a tough ask for young Chip playing his first real hit out for the year. Hawthorn will be strengthened by the return of new captain Hodge as well as Ellis and Guerra. Three handy inclusions. I still beleive this Hawthorn team will be right in the mix come September and they wouldn't want to start 2011 with 2 staright losses. I expect the Hawks to bounce back today and be to good for the still developing Demons. Hawks win SU.

It will be interesting to see how St.George react after the anouncement that Sir Wayne will be leaving after this season. I expect them to lift that little bit extra. This may be a little push these players needed to go back 2 back! They take on the Knights here today @ Energy Australia Stadium, a place the Dragons have an outstanding record @ 10-2 against the Knights! Newcastle have plenty of injury concerns coming out of last weeks loss to Manly, and still have up to 6 of their starters unavailable. They will get their captain Gidley back which will lift the side but he will be underdone. The Dragons are without Waymen but this team is a class outfit and Bennett will have someone ready to come in and do that job.

The dragons traditionally are a front running team. They tend to get out to a 6-12 point lead early then muscle up in defense making it impossible for it's opponent to score, grinding their way to a win! I expect much the same here and Bennett will make it very clear to take the crowd out of the equation by scoring early and staying in front. Dragons to lead @ the half and cover SU.

I'd expect to see less minutes from their big man and wouldn't be surprised if he does not suit at all. The 76ers on the other hand have all but secured their place in the playoffs by winning their last 3 games. They will be full of confidence and to good tonight. Small play on Geelong here tonight traveling to Perth to tackle the Dockers. Geelong have a good record over their and Freo were less than convincing against the Lion up at the Gabba last week. One of the big reasons for this play is the fact that Geelongs new head coach Chris Scott was assistant coach of the Dockers last year and will have very good inside knowledge on their structures and a lot of their players. The history of former assistants coming up shaker their old clubs for the first time leans significantly towards the New Coach. Adding to this angle Geelongs hard nut Chapman will play his 200th match. Geelong tend to lift for these type of occasions. I see value in the ML for the Cats and I think they will get the job done.

One thing that is known is if the Suns are ever going to be up and about its going to be for the first 20min of this one! You can expect their experienced players Ablett, Brown, Rischitelli, Bock, Fraser, Brennan, Harbrow and Harris to be out to make a statement. They will be fierce at ever contest and out to prove this club is no easy beats! While I do expect the Blues to come away with the win I think they will get quite a scare!

The Blues were rusty in their opener against the Tigers last week kicking 2-8. While you can excuse this being round one they were relatively slow starters in 2010 and better finishers. I see value in the Suns to be in front after the 1st quarter @ 3.35.

1ST Q - CLIPPERS +1.5 (x1)

The Clippers still prove value in the opening quarter. They always come out well and are usually either in front or right there in the mix. Getting points is a bonus. They come up against a Phoenix team that is spent! as I stated against the Thunder this team are out of playoff contention and are a bit of a mess. Not sure where their list is headed and I'm sure that's whats running through the minds of the players. The Clippers are the complete opposite. They have an out and out star in the making in Griffin and this team is now building around him. Gordon is a gun, Williams is a classy point guard and a perfect leader, Kaman seems to be relishing in being that 3rd scoring option and coming off the bench while Jordan has the potential to be a defensive force and a dunking machine in the mould of a Dwight Horward! This team is going places. Looking back to one of my first posts and plays on the Clippers this is exactly what I suggested then. Clippers to have to much energy and will catch the lifeless Suns napping early.

ATS - HAWKS +1.5 (x1.5)

Fading the Celtics here in this spot again. On B2B games on the road especially after a win. Much the same angle as the Pacers game we won on a few days ago. The old legs of the Celtic's just don't cope. They have some injury concerns as per usual as well with Krstic, Murphy and J. O'Neal all doubtful. This leaves their big men department a little short with Shaq still on the sidelines. Not a good situation especially against Atlanta as they have been known to play tall. Last start against Orlando they actually started with Collins, Horford and Smith just to stretch the Magic. I expect the same tactics again here tonight. Atlanta have found form winning their last 3 including that impressive win against Orlando last start. Expect their confidence to be up and they will be well rested. This is a double revenge spot for the Hawks, They will be keen to notch up a win to close out the series. Hawks to be switched on tonight and take care of the tired Celtics.

ATS - PACERS -3.5 (x1)

This is a big game for Milwaukee as if they drop this one their season is over. However I don't like their chances. They are playing their 3rd game on the road and their big man Bogut is very doubtful to suit up tonight. Milwaukee have been terrible on the road all season win just 11-25. While this is do or die for the Bucks it is also extremely important that the Pacers keep winning as they are only a half a game clear of the Bobcats in the playoff race. Indiana are playing good ball and their confidence is up. They will take the points here tonight @ home.

ATS - MAGPIES -37.5 (x1.5)

Collingwood have started 2011 right were they left off. Crushing the power by 75pts. Whats scary is they barely raised a sweat! Port actually got themselves back into the match during the third to at one stage be just 16 points down and it was almost as if Collingwood thought ok enough is enough and went BANG! This team is leaps and bounds ahead of the comp. I feel for the Kangas in this one, they have players seriously underdone, are finding there way as a football side with a number kids still developing and they are returning from Perth after a tough loss in the heat and on a short turnaround!

Collingwood win win this by plenty! Enough said! 10 goals +

DOUBLE - BRONCOS ML / ROOSTERS ML (x1.5)

This weeks lines look pretty sharp in this weeks NRL round but I do like these two teams spots and should win SU.

Brisbane will host the struggling Panthers tonight @ Suncorp after the news that this will be Locky's farewell season they will be up for this one! The Panthers have been terrible! and to compound problems the lose half back Walsh for this match. After seeing Penrith named Kingston as his replacement I want to be all over the Broncos half pairing of Wallace and Lockyer. I doubt Kevin has ever played in this position. Now he may do well and could surprise but I'd feel much better being on a team lead by a half back that has regularly represented his state and arguably the greatest 5/8 we have ever seen. Broncos will be too good @ Home.

2nd up I'm taking the Roosters to take the points against a depleted West Tigers outfit. Wests have lost Turqiri, Lawrence and Lui from last week. Add to that they are still missing Fulton, Ellis and Gibbs. Far too many injuries to cover. They come up against a Roosters outfit that has lost it last 2 game and will be desperate to get back in the winners circle. Carney will be better and The Roosters take the points. They won't lose 3 in a row.

ATS - SAINTS -25.5 (x1.5)

SAINTS WILL BOUNCE BACK!

The Saints well be looking to bounce back here tonight after letting last weeks game against Geelong slip. They controlled the major part of that contest and will be bitterly disappointed they didn't close it out. Richmond or more specifically Jack had an impressive 3rd term against Carlton last week which edged them in front but besides that they were out gunned all over the park. Carlton didn't put them away in the first half, had a laps in the third but came up trumps in the end. The scoreline actually flatters the Tigers as after watching the game felt the Blues were a 7-8 goal better side.

The Saints won't have a laps like that. Richmond will struggle to score in this one as looking through the Midfield's and St.Kilda will be far to dominant for the young Tigers here tonight. The likes of Hayes, Dal Santo, Montagna, Goddard, Gram, Ray and Jones up against Martin, Cotchin, Jackson, Foely, Edwards, Conca and Grigg. While the Tigers are improving Experience will prevail here. Saints midfield will be to good and provide plenty of supply to Roo! I'm not sure who goes with Riewoldt tonight? With Rance and Moore out the Tigers look a bit short down back. I expect the Saints to exploit this.

Saints have beaten the Tigers in their last 13 matches! Richmond has not tasted success against St.Kilda since 2003! St.kilda will be to strong and bounce back winning by 40+
