Welcome all..... I live in Australia and have been punting on Sports for the past 6 years. Looking forward to another sucessful year in 2013...... I enjoyed another sucessful Campaign in 2012 which was my 2nd year posting here. Detailed results can be seen below.

I bet on the AFL , NRL as well as US Basketball, the NBA & NCAA CBB. Here I will post my plays as a record with regular write ups. It is most important that you create a Twitter account and follow me @baywatchbets as all my plays are posted there first then followed up with a detailed post here. Be sure to follow twitter below!!!

I play on ML, ATS, Quarters, Halves, Doubles and occasionally on Player Exotics. My goal is to hit close to 60%. However 53% will give a nice profit.

I bet in units. Though out the seasons I will play x1 unit, x1.5 units, x2 units and on occasions huge x3, x4 & even x5 unit plays! On average x1 unit should be 3.5% of your bankroll so adjust accordingly. This is very important as we are investing not gambling!

So for example your x1 unit may be to win $100, so I bet $110 @ odds of 1.91. Betting at these odds your unit outlay would be:

x1 unit play - $110 to win $100

x1.5 unit play - $165 to win $150

x2 unit play - $220 to win $200 etc.

I adjust the amount I bet according to the odds taken. for example playing x1 unit @ odds of 1.85 I then have to up my bet to $115 to win $100 and so on.

Patience and Bankroll management is the key.

Good luck all and enjoy the ride....

ATS - THUNDER - 3 (x1)

Liking the Thunder here tonight and more so fading the Suns! The Thunder have been getting it done of late winning 9 of their last 10 and firmly in the Playoff mix out West! The new additions of Perkins and Mohammad have slotted in nicely and added that steel in defense this team lacked. They are a legitimate contender right now! Phoenix has all but given up! they are 4 games out of playoff contention having let last nights game slip after leading by 10 during the 4th against the Kings. Their body language is terrible and some recent comments prove this team isn't switched on to tonight and are feeling sorry for themselves as the realise their season is done! The Thunder will have to much class here tonight and will take advantage of an emotionally banged up Phoenix team. Thunder win and cover.

ATS - 76ERS -3 (x1)

Big time fade on the Rockets tonight! Houston have been rolling of late winning 4 pf their last 5 and hunting down that Playoff spot. However they are playing their last game of a 3 game road trip, they are playing their 3rd game in 4 days and are on a B2B on the road. I see them running out of legs here tonight. I have also picked up that Houston does struggle a little when up against teams with a winning record. Philly are coming off an impressive road victory against the Bulls and put up an outstanding defensive effort in restricting the Bulls to just 85 points. Another effort like that will go a long way to frustrating the Rockets and getting the win. Philly will be to strong here @ home with the Rockets in a bad spot and Vulnerable. 76ers win and cover!

Indiana are in yet another revenge spot here @ home tonight against Detroit. The Pistons beat up on them badly just 4 days ago winning 100-88 in Detroit. You can bet the entire team will have that game still firmly on their minds and will be focused and ready for Detroit's visit. Tonight is set up perfectly for Indiana for pay back! Detroit has lost its last 5 visits here and is a miserable 7-29 on the road. Another huge factor and motivating point is that Indiana currently hold the 8th spot in the East and with the Bobcats hot on their tails will not want to drop any games if it can. Its has its whole season in its own hands. Expect a fired up Pacers outfit tonight and expect them to be ruthless! Pacers win by double digits tonight!

1ST Q - SUNS (x2)
ML - SUNS (x1)

The honeymoon period for the Kings is over. They are returning home to play their first game back from a long and successful 5 game road trip which they went 4-1. That is a huge effort for any team let along the Kings! The Suns have lost a couple of tight ones or games they certainly could have won against Dallas and the Hornets @ Home.

There are a few angles I like in this game. One is a definite letdown spot for the Kings off such a high on the road. Of course a big fade due to fatigue and a sluggish 1st game off a long trip and this is also a revenge spot for the Suns who were beaten by the Kings in their last meeting @ home as a 9.5pt favourite! The Suns have won 5 of their last 1st quarters by and average margin of 6.4pts while The kings have won only 2 of their last 6 1st quarters losing 4 by and average of 7.75pts.

With all this I also feel Nash is the key and as he has shown starts games well and will create far to many open looks for his team against arguably the worst defensive team in the league! Plenty of points will be on offer here tonight and I think the Suns will lead well after the 1st and hold on for a win SU!

Round up from a disappointing start to the AFL Season and bad finish to round 3 of the NRL

AFL
2-5-1 (-4.19 units)

Started well with Carlton pick, then missed the Hawks and eagles and pushed with a draw in the Swans game. That was all ok but my biggest downer was the Bulldogs! They ewer my strong play of the week and I added to the woes by doubling up in second half. This caused the negative start to the year. My last few years I have started slowly and will be a little more cautious come round 2.

NRL
1-4 (-4.07 units)
Disappointing with the Titans missing but bounced back with a good win by the Tigers. My big play and bet of the week was the Storm! Which like the AFL cost me and ended the round with a large negative result. 2nd half plays are costing me of late.

Something new I will be adding a weekly multi bet that will be a combination of AFL and NRL include 3 legs for a one unit outlay. These type of bets are not ones I recommend doing to regulary but one per week getting odds of $5 plus can boost your bank form time to time and are a bit of fun.

Looking forward to next weeks games and will hopefully post more winners than losers. NBA is coming to the end with playoffs next month so will be rounding up on that shortly giving my full attention to the Footy!

ATS - KNICKS +2 (x1.5)

My second play tonight is also a huge revenge spot. Triple revenge factor here for the Knicks. Orlando has won all three matches this season, most recently by 12 here at the garden 5 days ago. That one stung and will be fresh in the minds of the Knicks! New York are on a terrible run right now and need to make a statement! Orlando has surfed a huge blow with Neilson ruled out of tonights game! To me this makes all the difference. He is very important to the Magic and one of the main reasons for their current form. Without him in the line up and Reddick also unclear it leaves a huge hole! I feel Orlando won't have that drive and penetration and may find themselves a little flat footed waiting for something to happen. Billups will take advantage and Melo is ready to explode! Stoudamire is a good match up for Howard and will keep him honest on the boards. The stage is set perfectly for the Knicks to get back on the winners list here @ home tonight!

ATS - PACERS +2.5 (x1)

Huge revenge factor here tonight! The Pacers are on triple revenge as they have lost all 3 matches against Boston this season. They catch the Cektics in a bad spot on B2B games and traveling. A spot this team has more than struggled with this season going 1-8 in this exact position. The older legs of the Celtics just don't produce. Rondo is doubtful for this one also. Indiana are also in a must win if they intend to be a fixture in this years playoffs. They will want to put their last 2 very disappointing loses behind them and will turn up for this one @ home. Pacers to stay in the hunt for a playoff spot and win here against the Celtics.

ATS - STORM -4 (x2) (Buying 1/2 point @ alternate lines)
Adding 2ND H - STORM -6.5 (x1)(Storm down by 4 @ half)

Melbourne have started 2011 with a bang! while they were a little rusty in their first game against Manly, they still managed to win by 12. Then last week they smashed the Titans by plenty! this game was over after 20. This task is a little tricky travelling up north and playing their first away game of the year against a Cowboys outfit that will be keen to bounce back after losing last week to the Knights. The bad news for Nth Queensland is this Storm outfit love playing up there! their record is 9-3 @ Dairy Farmers and have beaten the Cowboys in their last 8 matches by an average of 24pts! Melbourne own the Cowboys! the last time they have enjoyed success over the Storm was in 2006. That record is to hard to ignore.

Melbourne will be unchanged and don't have any real injury concerns while the Cowboys are without Winterstien, Tate and Bolton. Melbourne to have to much class all over the park and with the guidance and kicking game of Cooper Cronk and Cam Smith to give plenty of opportunities to Slater and the outside backs, the Storm will prove too good leading from start to finish! Storm by 22.

1ST H - MAVS -1 (x1)
ATS - MAVS -2 (x2)

Rolling with Dallas to dominate this one against the Suns here tonight. Phoenix have some injury concerns to key players Gortat, Petrius, Carter and Hill. While I expect most to play they will be sore and underdone. Carter and Hill are Phoenix's main scorers while Gortat and Petrius are huge in the contest as some resistance is needed against Dallas Big men Dirk and Chandler. I also believe Kidd is a perfect match up for Nash and he will put the clamps on the Suns general and limit hi influence. Dallas are on B2B games but through out the season they have done extremely well in this spot. Having won convincingly last night I expect their starters to be fresh and ready to go. Phoenix lack depth and this is another area Dallas will prevail! Mavs just to strong in every area and will get the job done tonight from start to finish.

COX AND NATINUI TO DOMINATE IN PERTH

After having a good look at the one am liking the Eagles to get 2011 of with a win at home in the blistering heat of Perth. The Eagles showed a bit of promise in the NAB cup and will enjoy the open spaces of Patterson Stadium. The Kangas are missing a few important players going into the opener, MacIntosh, Grima, Bastanac, Cunnington, Campbell and Greenwood all out. This is a tough trip for such a young side. The Heat and lack of quality ruck man may hurt up against Cox and Nic Nat! Eagles to get the points by 3-4 goals.

1ST H - MAVERICKS -3.5 (x1.5)

On Dallas here tonight to have to much scoring power for the injury depleted Jazz team to go with. Dallas will begin a long 6 game road trip tonight in Utah and they will be looking to start well. Dallas are currently sitting in 3rd spot in the West and are competing with the Lakers for that 2nd seed. This is plenty motivation to win as many of their remaining games as possible. Dallas have been a front-running team all year and generally start well. Utah simply have not. While they have improved since the massive changes they still seem sluggish from the start. Utah have lost 4 straight and will be without Kirilenko, Harris and Okur for this one which will test their depth coming up against arguably the best all round side in the league. Dallas bench have been outstanding all year and I expect them to dominate here again. Dallas are looking for a season sweep have won all 3 previous meetings by plenty. Dallas to be to strong and put this one away early.

The bulls have been awesome lately dropping just one game in Their last 12! They have smashed teams! Getting out to monster leads and cruising to victory. This team looks young fresh and hungry for success! They come up against the Bucks tonight on the road. They are looking for a complete sweep having won all 3 match ups this season by an average of 10pts. Milwalkee are coming off an impressive win against NY on the road and as with the Bulls are on B2B games. In this one I see Rose having to much class for Jennings and if Noah can hold his own and compete with the big Aussie Bogut then Boozer will be free to play his own game and dominate down low. The Bulls to put up plenty of points early and have a nice lead @ the half.

ML - SWANS (x1)

SWANS HAVE THE GOODES

I feel the book makers may have this game the wrong way round, Melbourne perhaps getting a little to much credit on potential. Melbourne have some injury concerns with young guns Scully, Frawley, McKenzie and Morton all out. Alot depends on the development of Jarrah and Watts for Melbourne this season and they will be looking to those two to kick them a winning score. Sydney who are renowned for their defense will make life very difficult for them. The idea of being favourites may not sit well with this young group and the expectation may get the better of them.

Sydney are a solid side and have had a good pre season and with the likes of Jack, Hannabury, Kennedy, McGlynn and Lewis offering plenty of run I think Sydney may just come out on top. Goodes looks the match winner as its hard to see who gets that job. Sydney with a little to much experience will do enough to take the points in the opener. Swans by 14.

ATS - BULLDOGS -8.5 (x2)
Adding 2ND H - BULLDOGS -5.5 (x1.5) (dogs down by 34 @ 1/2)

THE BULLDOGS TIME IS NOW!

The Western Bulldogs have some what flown under the radar this off season. They had a quick exit from the NAB cup after going down narrowly to the Cats in the first round. They have added a few handy players who will be able to step straight in when required in Djerrkura, Vespremi and Sherman. Add to that 2 father sons Wallis and Libba who look the goods. Essendon have stuck to the draft and injected some kids which is the smart move with new coach Hird at the helm. One of those Heppell will step straight in on a back flank. Essendon impressed all by making the grand final in the NAB Cup but this is a much bigger challenge!

The Dogs will miss Lake and Gilbee down back and height  is one area the bombers may be able to exploit them. but Morris and Murphy play tall when required. The bulldogs engine room looks to powerful for this young bomber outfit to match with Cooney, Ward, Cross, Higgins, Griffin and captain Boyd leading the way I expect Hall, Grant and Gia to get plenty of service up forward. Dogs to pull away from the young bombers and win by 4 - 5 goals.

Added 2nd H play on the Dogs @ -5.5 making total game line @ +28.5. dogs must improve and can score quickly. I wouldn't rule out a bulldogs win outright.

ML - HAWKS (x1)

WHO WILL STOP BUDDY???

I expect Hawthorn to be one of the big movers in 2011 and really challenge for the flag! They have added Hale to help out their lacking ruck department and the inclusion of Bruce who came over from the Demons for nothing is a bonus. He will add that touch of class coming out of defence. Hawthorn have had their best pre season in years with all bar Hodge fit and ready to go. Hodge is a big loss but I think they have plenty of running power to cover. Adelaide will field a side that will look very different to what we are use to with McLeod, Edwards, Burton, Goodwin, Hentschell all retiring and Bock moving on. This is a huge hole to fill in one hit. The big question is will the likes of Vince, Douglas, Reilly, Thompson be able to lead from the front?

Looking to tonight's game I see a huge advantage with the Hawks run and carry through the midfield. Mitchell, Bateman, Burgoyne, Rioli, Young and Bruce will have to much class for the younger Crows Tambling, Sloan, McKay, Van Berlo etc. Also I think Buddy is set for a huge year! not sure who goes with him tonight as I'd expect Rutten to take Roughhead. Perhaps Otten and Davis will take turns? either way I see him tearing the young crows apart! Adelaide will struggle to produce a winning score IMO with a young and inexperienced forward set up of McKernan (1st game) Walker, Knights (back from long lay off). While Hawthorns record in Adelaide isn't great the did win here last year and in fact have beaten the crows in 4 of their last 6 meetings. Hawks for me win a close one.

On the Tigers here tonight to win and cover against the Raiders. Canberra still have some injury woes with Tounge, Campese and Dugan who may return tonight but will be underdone. They are also getting use to their new halfback Orford. This will take a little time as shown last week against the Broncos. Coming up against one of the best play makers in the game in Benji will not be easy for this new combination. The Tigers are still with out Ellis, Gibbs and Fulton. Which is a blow to their pack. Both Ellis and Gibbs have been given up until game time to pass as fit. If either or both take the field this will be a huge boost! The Tigers while still a long way of their best managed to grind out a win against the Warriors last week which will do wonders for their confidence. They have the wood on Canberra having beaten the in their last 5 meetings. Canberra also has a bad record @ Cambelltown winning just once in 6 visits. The Tigers are rank 1st in the comp for offloads with Heighington leading the way. I expect this to be the difference here and once the Tigers start this second phase style of play creating opportunities, expect Benji and Farrar to capitalise! Tigers win and cover @ home.

This will be impossible to cover. West has been bar far their best performer this season and to have to come up with an alternative in 24 hours while on the road..... Not easy! DOUBLE - PACERS ML / KNICKS ML (x1.5)

Taking the Pacers to win SU here tonight @ home against the Kings. Sacramento have a season to forget playing a lot of it without up and coming star Evans. Word is he may return tonight but if so will be seriously underdone and will have limited minutes. The Kings are playing their 4th on the road an it will be 4 games in 6 days. They will be keen to return home. Indiana have been impressive over the past few weeks and are now hovering around that final playoff spot. With that in mind this team will do enough to win on their home court tonight.

2nd up in this double I'm rolling with the Knicks. Is this team ever out of the news? It is way to early to be casting judgement on the Melo trade but I still think he will be taking it all in and is about to explode! I wouldn't be surprised if he puts up 40 or even 50 as early as tonight! NY are still in the mix in the East but I get the impression that's not good enough for big Amare! I expect this team collectively to turn the corner and gain some winning form and confidence before the business end of the season begins. This is a revenge spot for NY also having lost to the Bucks a few days ago. NY will win @ the Garden on national television tonight.

1ST Q - CATS (x1)
Adding:
2ND H - CATS +5.5 (x1) (cats down by 8 @ half)

This is a very interesting match. Two powerhouses of the past 3 - 4 seasons but most expect both to take a small slide in 2011. I'm not one of them. Geelong have had a mountain of changes since last year. No Gary Ablett, No Bomber Thompson, Max Rooke has retired but they have quickly turned that into a positive i believe as bringing in a fresh new coach in Chris Scott and some youth into the side is exactly what this side needed. The likes of Scarlett, Mooney, Ling, Enright, Corey etc would have experienced something different this off season for the first time in their careers. Stkilda are much the same, they have recruited a few spare parts in Gamble and Polo which may help here and their but they are backing their existing list to do the job once again. They will be egar to take to the field and put their disastrous off season in the past.

Tonight the Saints will be without big men Gardiner and Kosi as well as goal sneak Schnieder. McEvoy gets the number one gig and I think he will do well. He could use a bit of help as he will have seasoned campaigners Ottens and Blake to compete with. The Cats go in a little under done with Ling, Pods and Chapman all missing and Varcoe, Mooney and Scarlett doing limited pre seasons. This one will be close and honestly could go either way. Geelong are value at 2.25. Geelong are typically great starters to games and Stkilida not. The Saints and Nick Riewoldt in particular tend to tire their opponents and come home strong. I think Geelong with a new coach at the helm and J.Selwood as Captain will be out to impress first up and I expect them to take the early point and lead after the 1st.

Adding Geelong 2ND H a plus 5.5 point start. Effectively meaning total game line is 13.5. Geelong couldn't have played any worse scoring just one goal for the half. Selwood is out for the game but cats still in touch. I expect a better showing in the 2nd H

Rolling with the Gold Coast to bounce back strong tonight after being embarrassed by the Storm last week in Melbourne. They are up against the Broncos who surprised most by beating the Raiders in Canberra last Friday night. The Broncos will welcome back Hodges and Hannant for their first games for a long while. I expect both to be a little rusty and underdone. The Titans have made some changes as well including Laffranchi, Meyers and Tonga. They shuffle their line up with Bird moving back to 5/8 and  Minichello starting. This is a big plus for the Titans. Bird in particular was benched last week after 20 and came back once the game was all over in the second halve. Expect him to come out and take the line on and really attack and create. The Titans are a proud club and will lift that little bit extra against "Big Brother" tonight. Titans win SU.

Utah are all but out of the race for the playoffs so they may have already put the cue in the rack. The Hornets on the other hand are well and truly in the mix, currently have the 7th seed and will be looking to find form and momentum going forward. New Orleans are well rested here having played their last game 5 days ago. They have no injury's that I'm aware of and will be looking to avenge for their loss to Boston last start. A game where they dominated the first half but failed to finish. CP3 will be extra keen to do well as he failed to score a point in that loss. Don't expect that to happen again any time soon. ATS - BLUES -18.5 (x1.5)

Footy is BACK!!!!!

Once again its Carlton and Richmond who have the honors of opening the year on a Thursday night @ the MCG. Carlton have greater expectations this year, they will be looking to not only make the 8, but have some impact once they get there. They have added a couple of mature recruits in Laidler and Duigan who have slotted straight in the line up. Laidler is a good get as he had show enough promise as that 3rd tall down back or roaming wingman at Geelong. But as many have found out it was a tough side to crack into over the past 4 seasons. Duigan looks likely as well. The Tigers have also added a bit of experience in Houli and Grigg. These guys will be hungry to be in the top 22 all year and I think they will. Both will run through the midfield and help out youngsters Martin and Cotchin.

I do see some improvement coming from the Tigers this year but it won't be till say 2013 that this team has a real impact on the competition. Carlton on the other hand, time is now! this team will improve. Carlton will dominate the clearances and stoppages tonight and give their forwards more opportunities tonight. The likes of Gibbs, Murphy, Scotland, Simpson, Carrazzo, Lucas, Russell and leader Judd will have to much run and talent for the young tigers to stay with. Expect Waite, Walker to provide good targets and Betts and Garlett to have plenty of opportunities to post a big score against Richmond's inexperienced back posts Astbury and Rance. Richmond to have a good crack early but I expect Carlton to win by 5 or 6 goals in the end. Blues to continue the trend and cover here tonight!

They are making a late charge for that 8th seed! Houston are healthy all bar big You Ming of coarse, getting Martin and Scola back. Houston are great starters to games and on the flip side the Warriors have been poor in the 1st and 2nd quarters, especially on the road. I'm on Miami here tonight to start well in Detroit. As we get closer to the business end of the season I expect teams in the top bracket like Miami to really put a stamp on these type of games. Miami are in good touch winning 5 of their last 6, Wade, James and Bosh have all stepped up of late and this team is finishing off games. Detroit is a bit of a mess. I'm really not sure where this team is headed? So many aging players and not a lot of guidance. Although they have won their last 2 games here at home which may breath a little confidence into this team. I just think Miami's pure talent will be way to much for this Pistons team to handle. The Heat are a front running team and I expect them to jump out of the blocks well tonight. Miami 1st Half is the play!

Things don't get much better at this point of the season. They come up against Hawks @ Atlanta. The last time the Bulls visited here was just 20 days ago and they let a large halftime lead slip and lost by 3. Rose particularly took this defeat personally, shouldering the responsibility. Toronto has won it's last 2 games beating Washington easily at home and last night edging out Oklahoma on the road by 2 as a 14.5pt dog. Their coach said straight after their win "I said to these guys that we have to carry this over to tomorrow,It's tough on a back-to-back against Denver, another team that's playing extremely well. They're sitting there waiting for us, so it's a challenge. We have to play with the same energy. We have to be good, if not better." This to me points out that he is doing his best to avoid a letdown after such a good win and will have his team focused an ready to take it to Denver tonight. The Nuggets are returning home after a 4 game road trip which ended badly with a heavy loss to Miami. They will be without point guard Felton and possibly Affalo here tonight. I do like to fade teams returning home from a trip 4 games or more as I feel it takes time to readjust. I'm on Indiana here tonight to bounce back from a disappointing loss to Memphis and take care of New Jersey on the road. I have been impressed with the Pacers over the last few weeks with a new coach and a change to the starting line up they seem to be more energized and focused. Hansbourogh has been a revalation since moving to the starting PF position and I think his outside game will test here against Humphries. The Nets will again be without D.Williams and look to have put the cue in the rack for this season. They will be returning home and playing the 2nd of B2B games after giving up a handy lead to lose in Washington last night. Indiana currently hold the 8th spot in the east and with the playoffs in their reach will have a lot more to play for tonight. Pacers to get the job done and cover tonight.

ATS - CLIPPERS -1.5 (x1)

Rolling with the Clippers here tonight. LA finally has a healthy team with Gordon playing his first game back last start. The Clippers are settled playing their 3rd back home now after a few long road trips and look to have their confidence up after taking care of the Cavs last start. Phoenix broke their 4 game losing stretch last start against the lowly Kings. Other than that win they have been struggling. I see them struggling again here to cover LA's big men Griffin, Jordan and Kaman. LA to get home in a close one tonight.

ATS - BULLDOGS -4 (x1.5)

Rolling with the Dogs today to cover here against the Bunnies. Souths had a terrible start to 2011 in the first half against the Roosters but did fight back to almost pinch it late. That game came at a cost though losing Burgess, Lowe and Geddes. Add to this Inglis is in doubt. This will force the bunnies to play Asatasi more minutes and possibly Ross who played his first game last week in almost 2 years! The Loss of Burgess and Lowe will hurt! The Bulldogs will be without Morris which will also hurt as he is often their go to guy to finish of plays. But with the form the showed last week beating the Tigers I just cannot go past them. Stagg, Ryan, Ennis and Pritchard are work horses and will set the foundation for the likes of Barba, Idris and the new halves to capitalize on. Dogs look to have recruited well again and all seem to be playing their roll well. Expect the Dogs to make it 2/2 and cover today.

1ST Q - CELTICS (x1)

I'm sticking with the Celtics here tonight. They are on the road and on B2B games here against the Hornets. But after last nights embarrassing loss tho the Rockets I expect a team determined to erase that memory! Most of Bostons starters all had plenty of rest and time to reflect as the game was gone by half time. This is an unusual spot for Boston, they haven't faired well this year on B2B games but rarely have the gone into one after a loss. I expect them to come out firing. Expect Peirce, Garnet and Allen who all had quiet nights to take that loss personally and get off to a flyer tonight.

The Rockets are overvalued a tad here I believe. Boston are playing their first of a 3 game road trip which they will be keen to start well. They have dropped a few of late that were not expected but they are 7-3 SU since acquiring Green and Krstic. Boston still bases it's game on a solid defense which will be a test for Houston who are the complete opposite, they just simply try and score, score and score. This won't come so easy tonight. While Boston are still without the O'Neils, they did welcome back West last start and he looked impressive. He is very important to this team as he gives Rondo valuable rest. Houston have won their last 2 and confidence will be high, they may get a boost with Scola possibly returning but he will be under done. With this line being just one I can't go passed this Boston outfit with Peirce, Allen, Garnet, Rondo and new 6th man Green to get the job done! Boston have to many weapons for Houston to contend with.

ATS - KNICKS -3 (x1.5)

Liking the way New York match up in this one against Detroit tonight. The Knicks seem to have found their outside game last start in their big win over the Grizzles hitting 20 threes! The Knicks have owned Detroit this season winning both other matches by 9 and then by 18! I see a huge miss match in Stoudamire's advantage! He will be up against up and coming rookie Munroe. This is his opportunity to take control of this game. Melo will also cause all sorts of headaches. The Knicks are on B2B games but after a quick check they have actually faired quite well, winning their last three in this situation. I just think momentum will carry one for the Knicks here and should win well.

ATS - TIGERS -4.5 (x1.5)

The Tigers failed to impress in their opener against the Bulldogs last Monday night but I feel they will turn up for their first match at home this season. Benji was off his game although did produce one of the tries of the year! He will be dirty on himself and be keen to put a better showing on Saturday night. The Warriors were awful! never looked like winning, so many handling errors and silly penalties. It wont get any easier here at Leichardt. This ground has been a fortress for the Tigers. They simply never loss here. Their last loss was rd 13 2009! The Warriors will go into this game without Maloney, Fisiiahi and the Beast Vatuvei! While Manu plays on the wing his will be deeply missed. he is so often their go to guy and he gets the team up. An interesting stat, the Warriors have lost 5 of the last 6 matches without their international rep winger. I just don't see how they recover from last week and these loses against a quality outfit in the Tigers. In the last meeting between these two sides it was a Tigers victory, 50 - 6! I expect the Tigers to win well!

ATS - EELS -4.5 (x1)

Parramatta were super impressive last week knocking off the Warriors in NZ last week and Penrith quite simply were not. Losing 42-8 against the Knights. I was particulary impressed with Parramattas no frills approach, getting to their kick, protecting the ball and a solid defense. All strong attributes obviously brought across by new Head coach Kearny. They have an number of up and coming stars in Morgan, Allgood and Mortimer who seems to have shaken of those 2nd year blues. Adding to that the experience of Hindy, Birt and Moi Moi it looks a perfect balance. Not to mention their Star fullback Jarryd Hayne who also appears like the weight of expectation has been lifted and he is playing a more structured game. This Eels team has all the right ingredients to once again figure in September. Playing in front of their home crowd for the first time this year against a side with zero form and they beat a few weeks back in the trials easily, the Eels will be full of confidence and will take advantage of this Penrith side that looks a bit lost.

Backing the Raiders to make it 2 from 2 to start 2011 Friday night @ home against the Broncos. Canberra were very impressive last start without a number of players against the Sharks. Winning easily. They have a very good record @ home and will be keen to prove they are right up their with best in the league. They will still be without Campese, Dugan, Tounge and now White which is a lot but this team has depth and can cover. They will welcome key signing Orford back this week for his first game with the club and I expect their forward pack lead by Harrison, Leroyd-Lars and Shillington to be far to strong for the young Broncos to handle. Brisbane are a work in progress, they are fielding a very young inexperienced side, still without Hodges and big signing Hannant will test. They do have one of the best halves pairing in Wallace and Locky who will be looking to bounce back after dropping last weeks game to the Cowboy's @ home. Brisbane don't often drop back 2 back games but Canberra will be to strong especially @ home.

I'm taking the Magic to get off to a good start tonight on the road in Milwalkee. Orlando are finishing up a long 6 game road trip tonight and it has been up and down. They will be looking to return home on a positive note. The Magic have started games particularly well, they actually dropped a game on this trip against the Warriors which they were up 20 at the half. With so many offensive weapons they have no problems scoring the basketball. Milwalkee are an offensive disaster! Tonight they are on B2B games, returning home from 2 a game losing trip where they were embarrassed by Atlanta and Boston. Both games by 25+! Adding to that they will be without arguably their one shining light in big centre Bogut. I just see no way they stop Howard tonight without the big Aussie. Orlando to have to much scoring power for the Bucks to keep up with here tonight and put this one away early.

END OF WEEK

Well it's fair to say that was by far my worst week this year. A terrible start to the NRL season with only one win from seven bets and minus 8 units in the NBA. I definately went to strong to early in the League and things didn't go my way in the NBA which escalated the downfall. With having a bank of over 30 units looking back I probably bet to many big bets also.

The week ended like this:
NRL -9.15 units , NBA -8.02 units

TOTALS:

NBA 78-53-1 (+24.31u @ 59.54%)
NRL 1-6 (-9.14u @ 14%)

TOTALS 79-59-1 (+15.15u @ 57.25%)

Still a healthy bank, now time to put that week behind me and bounce back. You will see a more conservative approach and will get back to my winning ways in the NBA and slowly get the NRL back in the black. Looking forward to the week ahead.

Rolling with the MAVS here tonight on the road to start well in Portland. They are coming off a home loss to the Lakers and I expect them to put that behind them and get off to a fast start tonight. Portland are returning home from a 4 game road trip which they dropped their last 2 games. They are still adjusting to newly acquired Wallace, who will start tonight in the place of Camby. The combination of a changing line up and flat spot on first game back I see the Blazers starting a little rusty. I feel they have already put the cue in the rack for this season and are looking towards the lottery! I see Golden States run and gun offense with Ellis and Curry being far to much for Sacramento to handle. Lee and Wright have been impressive lately also. Keating and Hodkinson in the halves could work well. Also Tolman and Pritchard add extra punch. All these players will have an impact this season in the Dogs rise I have no doubt, but it may take a few games to get familiar with each others game. Pritchard will miss. Barba is unknown at the fullback position also. The Tigers are not the team the Dogs would have wanted first up. Maybe after first 5 or 6 rounds. DOUBLE - SHARKS +12.5 / TIGERS +12.5 (x1.5)

After looking over today's match up I really like the Sharks to start well and try and get season 2011 off to a good start. They have signed a couple of handy players in J.Smith and C.Best. Gallen and Tupou will look to have much better years and the sky is the limit for young fullback Gardiner. The Raiders are rocked by injury. Already without star 5/8 Campese now will be without his new partner in the halves Orford and now news that Dugan will also miss and Picker is doubtful. Ferguson and White should debut for the Raiders today but things just seem a little unsettled for my liking. I smell an upset. Take the Sharks with the extra start.

Adding to this I liking the Tigers! they with the Dragons are the team to beat this year. The haven't made any changes, everyone knows their roles and look they settled. Houston will be out for revenge as the Spurs have won both meetings this season but will be without Scola! this is a massive loss as I don't see much depth in the big man deparment for the Rockets. Its the 2nd half which is their downfall. Tonight they are up against the Wizards who are the opposite. Terrible to start but can claw back. They will be missing Blatche who has been solid at forward this year. The Clippers will look to rebound from last nights lose quickly. I'm on the Warriors today to open season 2011 with a bang! They will be playing for the first time at the home of rugby in NZ, Eden Park. They have signed very well in getting Meteo, Inu and Berrigan. Meteo is the big one as he will add that X factor to the Warriors reliable forward pack. Playing against his old side @ his new home he will he keen to make a point. Parramatta have had a number of changes in the off season. A new coach is one. Kearney is a great get in my opinion, but they will need to be patient as he is blooding a new breed. The Eels will have 4 players debut for the club today. Walker and Morgan both starting in the centers, McGuire at Hooker and Allgood in the forward pack. While this is good for their future and the right move by Kearny I'm not sure it will help today. Parramatta are missing some big names in Moi Moi and Poore also. I think NZ will have to much power and talent for this young Eels outfit and in front of what should be a big home crowd the Warriors will make a statement tonight and lead well early. They really struggle against BIG sides and Orlando has one of the biggest and most dominant centre in the game. I expect big Dwight to dominate the Wariors and force them to double which should open up plenty of looks for Orlando's outside scoring game to explode! The Lakers are in awesome form right now and quite frankly Miami are not! How much longer that will last, this Miami team are way to talented to lose as often as they are right now! I'm sure they will lift for this one. However..... All that said. LA I feel are hitting form at the right time. They have too many wise heads, they know what it takes to win it all. This is a revenge spot for the Lakers but its also their 3rd straight on the road.

I do see one major advantage which gives LA the edge. The Bench! Miami has none. Their bench has been outscored 41-8 last start and 149-51 in their last 4! That is embarrassing! LA has arguably the 6th man of the year in Odom running amok with the second unit. I see no match for him? The size of the Lakers will be a concern for Miami, if Bynum and more so Gasol can get quality looks then Miami are in all sorts. Kobe and Wade will go at it all night and Artest will do his best to blanket James. With all that said I think LA will win this one SU. Lakers have been solid in the first half while Miami seem to have lost their way. So I'm taking the Lakers 1st H and ML tonight!

The have one of the best packs in the league and with Burgess, Taylor and Possibly Ross all playing after spending last year getting familiar with each other. Add to that their captain Big Roy who tends to slip under the radar now in this star studded line up! With all these guys setting the foundation for Luke, Sandow and Sutton I see plenty of points coming their way. Oh and they picked up a pretty handy player who will debut friday night also.... GI! Yes I know he's outta shape, unfit blah blah blah. His presence out on the field will make all the Bunnies stand that extra big taller. He only needs a few good looks and he will make something happen. He is that X factor this team desperately needed. The Roosters will be without star playmaker Carney. This is huge! Rolling with the LA here tonight! The Lakers are the form team of the comp right now, since the All Star break they have beaten up of everyone! Winning 7 Straight! Which all started against this very team. The result, Lakers by 24! The Hawks have been struggling, winning just 4 of their last 12! In their last 3 games which were all @ home the Hawks half avg is -8pts. Compared to LA +11! These teams are on complete opposite ends of the scale. The Lakers will be keen to put this one beyond reach early because I have the feeling they may be having a look forward to their monster clash with Miami and will want to get some rest into their stars!

Atlanta has a massive miss match tonight against LA's big 3. Horford and Smith will be doing their best to match it with Bynum and Gasol, but it's LA's next big man who will really stretch them I believe. Once Odom comes in a see no match up what so ever! expect LA to use this against Atlanta tonight. If either of Atlanta's big men get in foul trouble then it's goodnight! 1ST Q - CLIPPERS (x1.5)

As you all know this has been one of my favorite plays all year. The Clipper have been great starters with "Mr First Quarter" Blake Griffin always keen to get going right from the start. I see a Clippers team full of confidence right now with two solid wins @ home against Denver and Houston. They will be without Gordon once again but in his absence in the 2nd half of last game Bledsoe had a break out performance! He was inspirational! And one of the big reasons for that win. Foye is a more than capable scorer also, and Kaman is starting to find his rhythm and spot in this team. The Bobcats are in a slump! Losing their last 4 on the road, most by big margins. They do return home which will help but this is their first start after semi long road trip and will once again be without Jackson who now with Wallace elsewhere is the only real scorer. Not sure where this team is headed? They seem to take one step forward then two steps back..... Clippers to beat up on them early!

Write up morrow guys! wanted to grab these prices now @ Centrebet.

(2.1u @ 1.96 @ Centrebet)

As expected the ML price for the Thunder has dropped.

Loving both these teams tonight to grab the win SU @ Home. Oklahoma catch the Suns in a terrible spot, plaing their final game of a 6 game road trip. Huge fatigue spot here as I expect the Suns to be looking forward to getting back home. Adding to this, while he should line up, Carter isn't 100%. The Thunder have overcome their mini 3 game slump, losing to 3 heavy weights, Spurs, Lakers & Magic. To go on and win their last 2. I see the energy and scoring power of Westbrook and Durant in particular to be to much for the sluggish Suns to go with. Thunder to win this one SU @ Home.

2nd of our double I'm rolling with Dallas to continue their winning ways. They have gone 18-1 from their last 19 games! This team is Hot! They are at home and on revenge! Memphis won the last encounter between these 2 teams by 19pts back in January! If A team on such a winning run needed any motivation this is it! Memphis are still without star scorer Rudy Gay and have a road record of 13-20. I just don't see them getting over the red hot Mav's @ home tonight! Dallas get the points and revenge tonight.

Call this play a gut instinct! I will work through my reasons but no real science to this one. The Clippers play 3x better in front of their home crowd. They have all their pieces together having played last start. Gordon and Kaman back from injury, and Williams settled with his new team will all be better now. Griffin as we all know is the key to this team but with Gordon and Williams who can both create their own offense will ease the pressure of him having to do it all. Denver have been solid since the trading of Melo. All the new piece's have made this team a lot deeper in depth. They do have GaLlinari out and afflalo doubtful tonight. They are also playing their 3rd game in 4 days which may be starting to take it's toll. I just feel the honeymoon period might be coming to and end for this new group and a let down is on the cards. I expect LA to explode out of the blocks here @ home tonight and also win this one SU.

How did Miami let last nights game slip? Leading Orlando by as many as 24 in the 2nd. WOW! Despite such a devastating loss, LeBron and D.Wade both shot the ball very well, and playing a B2B I think their form carry's over into tonights match with the Spurs(early on anyway). San Antonio are missing Parker and haven't really been tested without him yet. This Heat outfit definitely will. Now the Spurs don't lose at home very often and I'm not suggesting they will here, but one things for sure Miami will want to erase last nights collapse in a hurry and put everything they've got into claiming a big scalp! Fatigue may get the better of them overall but you can expect a fired up Heat team early on eager to prove a point. Miami to lead after the 1ST!

Dallas is red hot right now! Beating up on everyone! You wonder if they get themselves up for a game like this one? But let me remind you of a game Dallas did drop during the period Dirk was missing. Jan 12 @ Indiana by 13pts. Revenge factor is motivation enough! I expect Dallas to put the Pacers out of their misery and put this game beyond reach early. Indiana are so up and down, but they have been a little more on the down side of late. Traveling to Dallas will not be an appealing trip. I think this is a game where you don't want to look to hard into it. Plain and simple Dallas are far superior, playing at home and on revenge! Done deal. Indiana may hang around so have taken the half bet. Dallas to lead well at the main break.

Haven't played a double in awhile, and this card looks like the perfect spot. The lines look pretty sharp but both these teams have a good chance of winning each of their respected games.

Orlando are playing great ball right now, winning 4 of last 5. Dwight Howard is the key in this one as Miami really have no one to compete with him. If he can dominate the paint like he should and stay on the floor and out of foul trouble I think Orlando have the weapons to win this one outright. Should be a close, playoff like match. Taking the points here.

Denver is a team with a new lease of life it seems right now. Winning 5 of their last 6. They are playing with a new sense of freedom since the whole Melo drama is finally done with. The Nuggets have moved on quickly! I personally think Felton is a great pick up and one of the best up and coming points in the game. Highly underrated he is developing into a great leader and could turn out to be a cornerstone to the Nuggets future. Utah is another team affected by the trading period, losing their star guard Williams. They do not seem to have covered or regrouped as well as some, winning 1 of their last 5. They are at home and catch the nuggets on B2B but I think Denvers energy and confidence will be enough to keep this one close and perhaps even win SU. Taking Denver and the points

On the Clippers to once again get off to a good start in the opener here @ home against the Rockets. The Clippers will unveil new recruit Williams in front of their home fans tonight and also get Gordon back for the first time in almost a month. This addition alone will make the rest of the team walk a little taller. Houston while are playing well are on B2B games and may start slowly. They also lack a big man on defense. This will be exposed by one of the best going around, Mr. griffin! Clippers full of confidence with Gordon back to start well tonight

On Chicago to continue their winning ways on the road in Atlanta tonight. The Bulls have won 7 of their last 8 games only loss was to Toronta which was really out of the blue. They are flying right now. Getting games into Noah and with all their pieces fit and healthy are full of confidence. Chicago were once a bit shaky on the road, but they seem to be turning that around with their full squad all fit. Atlanta are returning home from a grueling 7 game road trip. Massive fatigue spot right here. They will also be without Josh Smith for this one which will really hurt. With the Bulls now having Boozer and Noah back starting Smith missing see's them a little short. Hinrich who was Derrick Roses back up now faces the challenge of guarding the up and coming superstar, Good luck! For me this one is pretty simple, yes Chicago are playing their 3rd on the road, but in the form they are in this line is more than achievable. Atlanta have shown in the past when missing one of their big men they cannot seem to cover the loss. Bulls take this one.

On the Hornets to win this one well in Toronta tonight. New Orleans are finally healthy! And have acquired a good piece for their bench in Landry. They have all of Paul, West, Okafor and even Ariza back starting tonight. New Orleans have been one of the best defensively this year giving up only 92.6 pts per game. This has had a lot to do with the season so far by Okafor. He has been dominate in the middle for the Hornets this year and was sorely missed. Toronto are just really bad right now! Plain and simple. They leak to many points giving up 105 per game. Have only one real genuine scorer in DeRozan, and are dropping games by 10+ to regularly. I see CP3 weaving through Toronto's defense with ease to create plenty and Okafor holding down the fort on Defense and keeping the Raptors scoring to a minimal! Hornets get this done easily tonight!

I'm rolling with the Clippers to grab a rare win on the road tonight against a banged up Kings unit. LA is coming off one of the toughest B2B's against the Lakers and then Boston. The were smashed by the Lakers but showed some good signs against Boston. The will definately view this game as an easier task and will expect to win. They could have the services off Williams also which will be a huge plus. The Kings are in a terrible spot right now. They are returning from a long road trip and will be playing their 5th game in last 7 days. Huge fatigue factor in this one for the Kings who are still without their main guy in Evans. The Clippers have played a couple of games now since their massive road trip so should be gaining rhythm again. Blake will be the difference once again as I can't see who stops him tonight. LA to continue the Kings spiral downwards and grab that W on the road!
