I play on ML, ATS, Quarters, Halves, Doubles and occasionally on Player Exotics. My goal is to hit close to 60%. However 53% will give a nice profit.

I bet in units. Though out the seasons I will play x1 unit, x1.5 units, x2 units and on occasions huge x3, x4 & even x5 unit plays! On average x1 unit should be 3.5% of your bankroll so adjust accordingly. This is very important as we are investing not gambling!

So for example your x1 unit may be to win $100, so I bet $110 @ odds of 1.91. Betting at these odds your unit outlay would be:

x1 unit play - $110 to win $100

x1.5 unit play - $165 to win $150

x2 unit play - $220 to win $200 etc.

I adjust the amount I bet according to the odds taken. for example playing x1 unit @ odds of 1.85 I then have to up my bet to $115 to win $100 and so on.

Patience and Bankroll management is the key.

PLAYOFFS DAY 1

Philadelphia @ Chicago
1st H - BULLS -4.5 (x1) WIN

Chicago finished the season as the No1 ranked team in the East. A remarkable achievement given the injury issues this club has faced. Well tonight they host the 76ers and Rose is ready to roll. Phili who started the season on fire have some what limped into the playoffs. They even suggested they prefer to face the Bulls over Miami. I guarantee you this will be used as fuel and Rose and his Bulls will be out to make a statement in game one early! Bulls get the jump and take game one at home!

New York @ Miami
ATS - KNICKS +9 (x1) LOSS

I just hate to lay to many points, especially in the playoffs. Miami giving away 9 here just feels to much. New York has been in terrific form since Woodson has taken over and Melo in particular has found his touch. If he gets going again tonight anything could happen. Wade and Bosh are both back from injury which isn't ideal. Wade I think will be fine but it's Bosh who concerns me. Returning from a hamstring complaint is always touch and go. He will have to contend with Stoudamire and Chandler on the glass so he is a very important piece to this team. Either way I like the Knicks to be competitive tonight and fight out a cover.
